De Wet strives to maintain a balanced lifestyle which includes spending quality time with his family and friends. He also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, such as cycling, running and hiking.
De Wet was raised in Piet Retief, and he matriculated from High School Piet Retief in the year 2013. De Wet furthered his studies at the University of Pretoria where he obtained a BCom (Financial Sciences) degree.
In 2017 De Wet joined an audit, accounting and taxation firm based in Pretoria as a SAIPA article clerk. Over the course of 3 years, he gained extensive knowledge of the accounting and finance field. During the year 2019 he completed his SAIPA articles and was approved as a Professional Accountant (SA).
De Wet joined the Realgrowth Development family as Financial Accountant during the year 2021.
